The Bonfire Bowl 900 Stripe Smooth Inner is finished with a striped finish exterior and smooth black kiln on the inside. Made from specialist refractory clay. Measures 900mm in diameter finished with Stainless Steel Trim, stand, charcoal grid and ash catcher. Includes 2 eyelets to take various accessories such as a grid, light holder and potjie hook.Stainless steel trim available (optional).
All fire bowls are supplied with a mild steel stopper to prevent the embers falling through the hole at the bottom of the fire pit. When the fire pit is cool, this stopper can be removed to empty (release) the ash from the bowl**. The ash plug is made with mild steel. Even when ordering the stainless steel finishes. The stainless steel trim and stand is painted black. Test that it is stainless steel – a magnet won’t stick to it.
** Please note the ash grid and ash catcher bowl as seen in the picture can be supplied if preferred. This is special order – please enquire. We believe the ash stopper works better and prevents hot coals dropping out onto the area below your fire pit.
The Bonfire Fire Pits are weather resistant although we recommend that the accessories be kept under cover/indoors when not in use.
The mild steel trim may require periodic minor touch-ups. Alternatively, stainless steel trim is available on order.
Please note – these items are hand crafted and often manufactured to order. Allow 5 days for dispatch and a further 2-4 days for delivery for steel versions. Allow up to two weeks for stainless steel trims and fittings.
Description
Designed for use as fire bowls which can double as braais. The Bonfire Bowl 900 Stripe Smooth Inner is made from fire clay which is a refractory material that can take heat because it has virtually zero thermal expansion.
The fire pits are available in four sizes and in two finishes (mosaic and stripe) and are able to take a variety of optional accessories. The mosaic style consists of small stoneware clay tiles on the outside and larger, heat resistant, refractory clay tiles on the inside. The stripe style consists of a kiln-fired bowl with bold stripes on the outside and a smooth, dark, refractory bowl on the inside. The fire pits are fitted with stainless steel eyelets (one with a lock-nut to adjust height of cooking grid) to hold optional mild/stainless steel accessories. The 1100 mm and 900 mm fire pits have three eyelets, and the 730 mm fire pit has two stainless steel eyelets to hold optional mild/stainless steel accessories.
